| The
aim of Marriage's Rearing diets is to enable the chicks to grow
and feather well and to develop into hardy, healthy poults able
to thrive well in the release pens and eventually the coverts.
For a
simple programme we suggest Super Fine Starter
Crumbs offered to the chicks as the first feed, particularly
for day old partridges. Then Starter Crumbs
fed to 2 weeks with Starter Micro Pellets
to enable a smooth change from crumb to pellet feeding.
Mini
Grower Pellets are designed to be fed from 3 weeks until
Grower Pellets are introduced at approximately
5 weeks. Release Pellets are introduced just
prior to moving birds to release pens where a proportion of
grain may be introduced or full pellet feeding may continue
until release to coverts.
The Marriage's
Breeder diets are formulated to maintain birds in peak breeding
condition.
Breeder
Pellets should be introduced 3 - 4 weeks before the first
eggs are expected and are available with flubenvet to provide
for worming birds prior to laying. This diet is carefully
formulated to ensure maximum number of strong viable chicks.
It is important that grain should not be fed, as it will unbalance
the nutrient content of this diet.
Partridge
Breeder should be introduced 3 - 4 weeks before the first
eggs are expected. This is a diet of high nutrient density
especially balanced to meet the needs of the smaller game
bird and should not be diluted by grain feeding. The breeder
rations contain the correct levels of calcium and Phosphorus
so that additional oyster shell or limestone grit need not
be fed.
