April 2012: Good News for Gamekeepers!

Marriage’s is now able to provide game feed with Avatec® without a vet’s prescription, reducing the admin time and cost involved. We can also write a prescription free-of-charge for Flubenvet® but Aurofac® still requires a vet’s prescription. See our Game Feeds page for more details.

March 2012: Dates for Pony of the Year

The events holding qualifiers for the 2012 Marriage’s Riding Club Pony of the Year have been released, along with most of the dates and entry details. More information will become available in the coming weeks.

February 2012: Poultry Showing Success

Marriage’s customers Terry Maynard and Robin Creighton enjoyed great success with their show birds throughout 2011. At the PCGB National Show they took home the Supreme Show Champion (a sebright!) and Champion Hamburgh. At the Federation Show they collected Champion True Bantam and Champion Large Fowl. Many regional successes helped to make a truly incredible year for the Essex-based breeders. Mr Maynard and Mr Creighton, who is vet to the Poultry Club of GB, feed Marriage’s Farmyard Layers Pellets to their young show birds and then Marriage’s Poultry Breeder Pellets to their breeding birds. It is a simple and inexpensive system but has proven extremely effective!

January 2012: Equine Qualifying Events Required

We are looking for more existing local shows to hold qualifying events for the Marriage’s Riding Club Pony of the Year competition over the coming spring/summer. November 2011: GWCT Membership

We are pleased to have recently joined the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust, as a Trade Member. The GWCT is a UK charity funds scientific research to help develop game and wildlife management techniques. They provide invaluable support to farmers and gamekeepers, but Marriage’s also hopes to benefit from their knowledge of game bird nutrition.

October 2011: Mares Championship

The leading mare in the East Anglian Point-to-Point Region for 2011 was Finnish Melody, owned by Mrs A. J. Long and trained by John Ibbott. Our congratulations to them all for such a successful season’s racing. Mrs Long will receive a trophy, sponsored by Marriage’s, at the annual East Anglian Point-to-Point Dinner this autumn.
